I am ready for Summer Discovery to start! Andrea, Lauren, and I have been writing and editing camp programs and shopping for supplies for over a month now, and we're getting anxious for the kids to arrive. We just had our staff training, and it looks like we're going to have a great group of teachers and TAs this year.
Most of my efforts have gone into editing camps from previous years to take into account suggestions from parents and past teachers. Some camps remain classics, though the names change. For instance, our Water Wizardry camp is a morphed version of last year's Reptiles and Amphibians camp. It's already got nearly full registration! Other camps are totally new this year. Superheroes of Nature is one such camp, and boy, do I wish I had been able to go to a camp like the one we're planning for that week!
Stay tuned for more news from the Summer Discovery front!
